My dear friend Susan Grant recently asked me to find her a hat that would be work appropriate for her job as an administrator for The Children’s Hospital of Denver.  Susan is a BEAUTIFUL woman.  And she loves to wear ball caps.  And ball caps are just not work appropriate.  Thankfully, she knows that and it wasn’t an intervention sort of situation when the subject came up.  She had actually just read my post on hats and was inspired to find one that would work for her.

So, I found a bunch.  :)  Susan, if you’re reading this, (Hi!) I think that Brixton is going to be your new favorite designer.  Here are a few of their hats…  My picks for you are the Portman ($50) (the blue would look amazing with your eyes but the grey is on sale for $26!), the Topper ($30), or the Miner ($16!) on a more casual day.  I think that going with a fedora, trilby, or generally fancier style is what will keep a hat looking work appropriate and like an accessory instead of a bad hair day save.  Next are a couple from Anthropologie, who always seem to have the most unique and beautiful hats….  The Fade Fedora ($48) and the Doffed Cap ($52).  And last, but not least, here’s one that you can get at Target that is so cute and totally affordable… the Mossimo Chenille Bucket Hat ($12.99).

Happy Hat Shopping!
