What To Wear on New Year’s Eve – Inspiration

It’s about to be “HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!” time… Are you ready??  We’ve only got a few days to plan our outfits for whatever parties we’re about to be the stars of, so here’s some inspiration from me to you ~ In honor of Pantone’s color of 2012, Tangerine Tango, a lovely and festive orange and silver sequin dress from Kitson at $195.00.  Pair with these amazing heels from Anthroplogie for $148.00 and lovely cuff from Forever 21 for $10.80.

Here are some more pieces that I’ve pulled for you to draw inspiration from.  If you’ve got metallic pieces in your closet, New Year’s Eve is the night to bring them out to party!  Add some fun jewelry, a splash of color, and you’ll be on your way to ring in 2012 with style…  Imagine how you’d mix and match these pieces, then go to your closet and create a new look for yourself!

 

 

 

 

If you’re wearing a little black dress from years past, add a shiny, bold belt or some bright shoes like the ones pictured here from ModCloth.  I love the idea of a watch necklace for NYE – what better way to keep track of the time when every second counts?  Pinning a brooch to a blazer or dress always makes a piece more personal and beautiful so pin away!  New Year’s is the time to go all out – there’s no other night that asks you to present yourself with grace and style as you are presented with a new beginning.  Here’s to an amazing 2012 – HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Happy Snow Day

Hi Colorado gals (and happy snow day everywhere else that’s getting some inches!),

A friend recently asked me to help her find the perfect winter coat.  Warm, but not too sporty.  Functional, but still fun.  And must have a fur lined hood!  Since it’s snowing buckets today, I thought I’d share my finds with you…

Quilted puffer coat from Victoria’s Secret.  If you haven’t discovered the massive collection of coats at VS, it’s time you did some online perusing.  I love that this coat has so many special details.  It’s one of those pieces that everyone will be asking, “Where did you get your coat?!” as you sip fancy hot chocolate at the ski lodge.  ;) $118.00

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Another great coat from Victoria’s Secret, this one means business!  The hood makes it so chic and the shape is great.  Are you catching on to the theme here that all these coats are belted??  It’s SO important that you don’t lose yourself in your winter coat!  Maintaining femininity and shape is going to make you feel great, even when you’re bundled up.  I can just see you rocking this at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City.  $158.00

The Perfect Coat

Hi lovely readers, I’ve been perusing the Victorias Secret website since they have over 130 styles of COATS up to 50% off  (YES!).  One of the positives about the long winters in Colorado is that we get to watch the winter styles come, go on sale, then go on clearance, and buy, buy, buy!  One of my favorite coats is from VS, favorite because it came in TALL.  :)  It’s a high quality,  long grey pea coat and it goes with everything!

There are so many coats I love at VS, but this one, I am deeming PERFECT.  Perfect because it is CLASSIC in THREE powerful ways…  It is the most classic color of coat – CAMEL, it is WOOL, and it is a TRENCH!!!  What?!  I want to kiss whoever designed this piece!
